Mayor Charles V. Ryan, Principal Ann Dryden, Members of the PTO sub-committee Playground Committee, and Claire Falcone of Rocky's Hardware, held a groundbreaking ceremony at Mary Dryden Memorial School Playground on Thursday, September 13th at 9:30 a.m.

Principal Dryden credits the Playground Committee's tireless efforts in fundraising to replace the school's playground equipment removed in 2003.  The school proudly displays the playscape recently installed.  Members of the committee are TJ Martin, Barbara Footit, Julie George, Jen Ryan and Lee Weissman.  The committee raised $31,000 of which $25,000 was donated by Rocky's Hardware.  Rocky's has been a friend in partnership with Dryden School for many years, donating shrubs and various supplies for school projects.

Mayor Ryan stated, "Everyone benefits when community organizations work together.  It is the children who will benefit the most and learn from these lessons of collaboration and generosity."
