Community Jobs Fair Draws HundredsMore than 300 job seekers participated in the first annual Community Job Fair at the Massachusetts Career Development Institute, Inc. (MCDI) on Wednesday, March 7. Sadie R. Stanley, coordinator for employment services at MCDI, said the success of the event speaks to the need for people to find employment and ensures that the event will continue to grow each year. “There’s a need for employment and at MCDI, we are not only here to service students but also to act as a responsible and engaged member of the community,” she said. Participating businesses included Aramark, Big Y, Baystate Health Systems, C&S Wholesale, Concentra Company, CoWorx Staffing, EW Lowes, Five College, Inc., HAP, Inc., Hasbro Games, Home Depot, ITT Power Solutions, J. Morrissey & Co., Johnson & Hill Staff, Precision Camera, Smith & Wesson, Springfield Day Nursery, Springfield Housing Authority, TD BankNorth, United Personnel Services and Valley Employment Group, Inc.
