The City of Springfield observed International Women's Day with a March 13 ceremony at City Hall. Honorees for 2009 included Lifetime Achievement Awardee Lois Smith,  Springfield Parks Dept. Recreation Director Sandy Federico, MassLive Employment Specialist Dawn Creighton, Springfield School Committeewoman Marjorie Hurst, and Director of the WMass Governor’s Office Elizabeth Cardona.
