In promotion of National Nutrition Month, Tapestry Health's Springfield North WIC will host its 3rd annual Community Walk tomorrow March 27th.
The event will include a parade of preschoolers and community health partners dressed as fruits and vegetables. The USDA Power Panther mascot will join in on the fun.
The parade will start at 10 a.m. from Northgate Plaza (1985 Main Street) and move along Main Street.
At 10:30 the parade will stop in front of Springfield City Hall, where Mayor Domenic J. Sarno will present Springfield North WIC with a proclamation and Kids Yoga Academy will provide a demonstration of kid-friendly yoga techniques.
The parade route will end at Tower Square, where a health fair will include a magic show and cooking demonstrations by Holyoke Community College Culinary students, MCDI Culinary students and the Executive Chef from Springfield College.
In case of rain, the entire event will take place in Tower Square.
