More >> Dog License RenewalsThe City of Springfield reminds dog owners that May 28, 2010, is the last day to license dogs for Fiscal Year 2010 without incurring a late fee. Beginning June 7, 2010, the Clerk’s Office will list all unregistered dogs on the City’s website and report them to animal control. More info >> Complete the 2010 City Census OnlineThe City of Springfield is conducting it's Annual City Census. Every household in Springfield will be receiving a census form in the mail. Please fill out the form and return it by mail as soon as possible, or complete the form online and submit it by email. The City Census is required by state law and if the residents of Springfield are undercounted the City and its residents could stand to lose valuable state and federal funding. More >> Report Crime Anonymously with Text-A-TipTo send an anonymous crime tip from any text-enabled phone: Springfield citizens can now text crime tips to the police safely and anonymously through the new Text-A-Tip program. The two-way text messaging system sends citizens' messages through an encrypted server in Canada, which allows 2-way text dialog while shielding the caller's number and identity from authorities. The Springfield Police Department is partnering with county, state and other regional authorities on this service. Important Trash Lien InformationThe City of Springfield has processed liens against properties with unpaid Fiscal Year 2008 trash fee bills. This amount, as well as accumulated interest, will appear on the Fiscal Year 2010 1st and 2nd quarter Property Tax bills.
