The Veterans' Service Department counsels veterans and the families of veterans. The department helps with applications for benefits including veterans' benefits, bonuses, pensions, or compensation connected to service-connected disabilities, social security, medical assistance, and burial allowances. If additional help is needed, referrals are made to appropriate agencies. Veterans and their families experiencing financial hardship should apply to the Veterans' Service Department before going to other agencies.
