On Friday, May 2, 2008 the City of Springfield, Department of Elder Affairs will be honoring the special people that always lend a hand in our Golden Age Clubs, Senior Centers and SHINE Program. This special event will taking place at the Good Life Center, 1600 East Columbus Avenue, Springfield, MA. and will begin at 11:30a.m.
Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Jan Denney, Director of the Department of Elder Affairs will be on hand to honor the volunteers on this special day. Our volunteers give their time endlessly throughout the year, helping out and going the extra mile in their clubs and centers and what better way to honor them with a special luncheon just them. Let’s always remember how special and important our volunteers are to each one of us.
