Does the fee include disposal of bulky items?

No.   As of September 1, 2006, the City charges an $8 disposal fee for each bulk item.  

The bulk item stickers can be purchased at: 

• All Big Y supermarkets in Springfield, also the East Longmeadow, Ludlow, Longmeadow and West Springfield stores.
• City Hall – Collector’s Office/Clerk’s Office – 36 Court Street
• Department of Public Works – 70 Tapley Street
