About the rink

The recently renovated Cyr Arena is the Park Department's public ice skating facility. The arena is located in Forest Park and is accessible via the 200 Trafton Road entrance. The recently renovated facility has a brand new warming room, concession stand and six changing rooms. The facility boasts four team locker rooms, a girls locker room and a referee room.

Public Skating is offered September - April
Friday and Saturday (Rock & Roll Skate), 7:00 - 8:50 p.m.
Sundays, 2:30 - 4:20 p.m. (Perfect for New Skaters)

Adults $4.00
Skate Rental $4.00 per pair

Rentals

The Arena is open from early September to late April. The birthday party room is available for rental during public skating hours for a fee. Please call (413) 787-6438 after 4:00 p.m. for more details.

From Hartford and points south:

From Rt. I-91 North, take exit 2 in Massachusetts (several miles from the state line). Continue up the hill and the road curves to the left. Take a right at the traffic light onto Sumner Ave. The main entrance to Forest Park is on the right. Proceed past the main entrance of the park and continue on Sumner Avenue through 4 sets of lights until you reach the "X". Take your first right after Walgreen's (Dunkin Donuts is on your left) and proceed on Dickenson Street for .3 miles. Take your second right onto Trafton Road. Follow the signs for the Cyr Arena entrance to Forest Park.

From Boston/Worcester, and points east:

Take the Mass. Pike (Rt. I-90) West to Rt. 291 in Chicopee. Follow Rt. 291 to Rt. I-91 South in Springfield. Take exit 4 (Sumner Av to Rt. 83,). Take a left, under the highway. After the first traffic light, turn right, up Longhill Street. At the traffic light go left on Sumner Av. Forest Park is on the right. Proceed past the main entrance of the park and continue on Sumner Avenue through 4 sets of lights until you reach the "X". Take your first right after Walgreen's (Dunkin Donuts is on your left) and proceed on Dickenson Street for .3 miles. Take your second right onto Trafton Road. From the Berkshires and points west:
