Who: Mayor Charles V. Ryan, Gary G. Cassanelli Fire Commissioner, Edward A. Flynn Police Commissioner, with guest speakers General Scott L. Rice USAF and David L. Pelletier, American Medical Response.

What: The Springfield Fire and Police Departments will join departments across the country in conducting a remembrance ceremony on September 11, 2007. They will salute the fallen firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical services, the military and civilians whose lives were lost on September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania.

The program will include; posting of colors, National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance, lowering of flag, tolling of bells, brief speaking program, laying of the wreath, rifle salute, taps, and retiring of the colors.

When:  Tuesday September 11, 2007 at 10:00 hrs.

Where: Raymond M. Sullivan Public Safety Complex located at 1212 Carew Street Springfield, Massachusetts.
