Mayor Charles V. Ryan said he is delighted with the new partnership and pointed out that Control Board member James O’S. Morton held the position of the city’s workforce development coordinator from 2004 to 2007.

“Springfield has made great strides in getting the message out that we are open for business and as new companies continue to come into our city and existing ones continue to expand, there is nothing more important than ensuring that we have a qualified workforce from which they can draw,” said Mayor Ryan.
