Smoke Detector Installation Program

The City of Springfield Department of Elder Affairs Smoke Detector Program is for City residents. The detectors are installed FREE OF CHARGE for residents who are home owners 60 years of age and live in their own home.

Smoke detectors are of the latest technology with 10 year lithium batteries.

Detectors are installed by trained installers under the auspices of the Springfield Fire Department and are installed in compliance with local and state fire codes.
