Salvatore Calvanese

Treasurer/Collector, 2004 – Present

Mr. Calvanese has served as the Treasurer and Collector for the City of Springfield for 3.5 years and has 15 years public sector experience in Accounting/Finance.  He started his career as a Budget Analyst in the Finance Department for the City of Springfield and, after two years, took the Comptroller position at the Springfield Police Department for 9.5 years before moving over to the Treasurer/Collector’s Office in 2004.

Mr. Calvanese holds a B.A in Accounting and Finance from American International College.  In addition, he served as Treasurer on the Board of Trustees for the Sabis International Charter School in Springfield for 4 years.  Mr. Calvanese also served with 104^th Massachusetts National Guard for 6 years.
