The City of Springfield is currently soliciting proposals for the purchase and redevelopment of 278 Pine Street locating within the Maple-Hill Historic District (Click here to view Maple-Hill Historic District Guidelines), which is listed on National Register of Historic Places.

The property is a vacant, wood frame, two and half story home constructed circa 1845 on a 5,196 square foot lot with approximately 3,500 square feet of living space.  The City will entertain all offers that meet the minimum bid requirements.

The City will be offering up to $25,000 in CDBG funding for exterior and structural repairs to the property.

Site Tours will be conducted at the property as follows:

  • June 9, 2010 between 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • June 25, 2010 between 3:00p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • July 10, 2010 between 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.
  • July 13, 2010 between 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
The Minimum Bid is $1,000.00

The City will be holding a Technical Assitance Workshop on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the Office of Housing, 1600 East Columbus Avenue, Springfield.
