Greenleaf Park Community CenterThe Greenleaf Park Community Center was constructed in the early 1970's as an open-air pavilion. The demand was so great for a year round facility that the pavilion was enclosed in the late 1970's. The center's use ranged from organized youth and adult sports to bingo and exercise programs for the senior citizens. The center was closed to the public for three years due to its deteriorated condition. Through the generous contributions of the Commonwealth, Peoples Bank, and the fund-raising efforts of the Sixteen Acres Neighborhood Association, this community center was renovated and reopened in the summer of 2007. This building serves as a landmark for the Sixteen Acres neighborhood and as an integral component to the neighborhood restoration currently underway. Capital Construction Projects:
