Consolidated Edison gifted a parcel of land between Water Street and the Chicopee River to the City for park development.  With funding by Community Development Block Grant, Indian Orchard Riverfront Park will be established.  This will be a passive, linear park where pedestrians can gaze out at the river through vistas or sit and relax at one of the benches or picnic tables.

Planned Phase II improvements include a new car-top boat ramp, which will be funded and designed by the State Office of Fishing and Boating Access.
