State Street Alliance Releases Report

July 2008 - The State Street Alliance has released the 68-page State Street Redevelopment Program document, which identifies catalytic projects and initiatives that capitalize on near-term market opportunities of the 3.2 mile State Street corridor. The State Street Alliance is comprised of over 50 private and public entities dedicated to the redevelopment of State Street.

Economic Development Strategy

The City of Springfield and Springfield Finance Control Board have announced a collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute for a New Commonwealth (MASS Inc.) and UMASS-Dartmouth on the creation of a long term Economic Development Strategy. This project will move forward with a public outreach and data collection process in September, 2008.
