Mayor Domenic J. Sarno joined today with the American Postal Workers Union Springfield Mass Area Local 497 in support of American Postal Workers Day of Action.
American Postal Workers Day of Action is an event to support and #SavethePostOffice to assure that our mail is delivered safely and on time.
Mayor Sarno stated, “The US Post Office is All-American like ‘mom’s apple pie and baseball’. I still write letters and use stamps every day. For me, there is nothing more personal than sending and receiving a letter in the mail and what about our citizens, who desperately need their medical prescriptions delivered in a timely fashion too! Now more than ever we need to support our brothers and sisters with Local 497 and all of our American postal workers.”
