Mayor Sarno Wraps Up FY22 Budget Hearings

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and Chief Administrative and Financial Officer (CAFO) TJ Plante continued with the Mayor’s Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22) budget hearings. Throughout this week, city Department Heads will be presenting their FY22 budget requests and will respond to questions from Mayor Sarno and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Today was the last day of Budget hearings.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the public budget hearings are being held virtually in partnership with Focus Springfield.  Those departments having a budget hearing today included:  Parks, Facilities, DPW, Planning and Economic Development, and Building/Housing Code Enforcement.

Those attending the meeting were: Mayor Sarno, CAFO TJ Plante, Deputy CAFO Lindsay Hackett, Grants/Budget Director Melanie Acobe, Communications Director William Baker, PBRM Executive Director Patrick Sullivan, Director of Open Space Peter Krupczak, PBRM Administrator Jon Carignan, PBRM Sr. Financial Analyst Carol Langevin, Forester Alex Sherman, DPW Director Chris Cignoli, DPW IT Manager Bob Houldson, DPW Admin and Finance Director Greg Superneau, DPW Deputy Director Vinny Desantis, DPW Contractors Manager Peg Merrill, CDO Tim Sheehan, Deputy Director of Eco Dev Brian Connors, SRA Executive Director Chris Moskal, Community Development Director of Admin and Finance Cathy Buono, Building Commissioner Steve Desilets, and Budget Analysts Erin Hand and Chris Fraser.
