The public is invited to Riverfront Park starting at 11:00 am, where they will find many opportunities to celebrate the start of the spring season, including live entertainment, games, safe photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny, egg hunts, and exciting giveaways, and beautiful decorations! Families will also be provided with free hot chocolate and baked goods.
As we hope to ‘hop’ out of the COVID-19 pandemic soon, we would like to restore traditional family events. We, therefore, invite everyone in our city to celebrate the start of the Spring season spectacularly and to promote happiness and togetherness among our residents and business owners.
Mayor Sarno states, “I cannot thank the team of Springfield Together, Strong Young Minds – especially Teka Jones, iHeart Radio, Frederick Douglas Jones Committee, my brothers and sisters Elks from Springfield Lodge of Elks #61 and all of our community partners for putting these wonderful community events together. As we continue to move our City of Springfield forward, it is important that we hold these family friendly events to bring out community together. My administration is proud to support the Springfield Bunny Hop and Spring Party. So come on down to our beautiful Riverfront Park and enjoy the celebration, entertainment and family fun!”
A schedule of events, information on how to participate in the event and volunteer opportunities leading up to and on the day, can be found on the Springfield Together Inc's Facebook page or on their website at www.springfieldtogether.org.
