The Artist Café is the newest establishment in downtown Springfield for coffee lovers, wine connoisseurs and emerging artists to sit, relax and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere. The Café also offers breakfast sandwiches and will stay open late on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays for live music and other fun events.
The Artist Café is also scheduled to host special chefs who will offer their unique dinner options for customers; with Chef Wayne from Cajun on the Go scheduled to be the guest chef tonight. Maynard added that the Café will be the place with the taste of the entire City.
Maynard emphasized that his café will offer goods from Springfield vendors such as Benson’s Bagels, pastries from Picky Diva Catering, Ray Berry’s White Lion Beer, Monsoon Roastery, and more.
Mayor Sarno states, “I want to commend owner David Maynard for achieving his dream of opening the Artist Café. This new vibrant Café will soon become a fixture of our downtown serving delicious coffee, baked goods, wine, beer, and much more. My Communications Director Bill Baker thoroughly enjoyed your cappuccino and I look forward to stopping by again to grab a cup of coffee or maybe a glass of wine or a White Lion Beer before the Springfield Thunderbirds game on Saturday.”
“The Artist Café will also provide an eclectic and prominent venue for aspiring artists to showcase their talents,” Mayor Sarno added. “Congratulations to Mr. Maynard and thank you for your continued belief and investment in our City of Springfield.”
The current art displayed is a gallery called ‘Faces’ by Springfield photographer and Navy veteran Robert Graves. It features up close, black-and-white portraits of people of various ages and backgrounds.
The Artist Café will be open Mondays through Saturdays from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm; with late night hours Thursday through Saturday from 5:00 pm to 12 midnight.
