Peddler's Licensing

Applicants for a Peddler's license must apply at a police station in their city or town of residence. Applicant's need to complete a Peddler's license application, a C.O.R.I. release form for a criminal history background check, and show a Massachusetts Drivers License. The completed forms need to be submitted to Records Division of the Springfield Police Dept.

After the C.O.R.I. form returns from Boston, the application is submit to the Chief of Police for approval. Applicants will be notified by mail and can obtain their documents for submission to The Director of Standards Office.

Approved applications may be mailed or hand delivered to the Director of Standards in Boston. The fee of $62.00 must accompany the approved application. The license is issued from the Director of Standards Office in Boston and not the Springfield Police Department.
