"Stamp Out Hunger" on May 11th with the National Association of Letter Carriers

Saturday, May 11th marks the annual National Association of Letter Carriers 'Stamp Out Hunger' Food Drive- one of America's great days of giving.

These donations go directly to local food pantries to provide food to people in Western Massachusetts who need our help. The timing of the food drive is crucial- as a majority of donations are during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.

Postal Patrons will be asked to leave non-perishable food items by their mailboxes, which will then be picked up by the Letter Carriers for distribution.

Mayor Domenic J. Sarno states, "First, I want to thank the devoted letter carriers who serve our community for what they do 6-days a week, and for going above and beyond to Stamp Out Hunger with this annual initiative for the last 32 years. They have established a very simple and convenient way to give back. Food insecurity affects millions of Americans and these small efforts can mean the world to someone and their family. I encourage everyone to do what they can to support this effort on Saturday, May 11th."
